By accessing our Services, submitting your phone number, or subscribing to receive messages, you agree to these Terms.
1. Description of Services
Gather Scout provides messaging and engagement technology that enables partner organizations—such as local governments, nonprofits, parks, and chambers—to send informational text and rich media messages about events, programs, and activities.
Gather Scout acts solely as a technology service provider and delivers messages on behalf of the partner organization you choose to subscribe to.
2. User Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Services.
By using the Services, you represent that you meet this requirement.
3. User Consent and Messaging
By providing your mobile phone number and opting in, you consent to receive recurring informational messages from the specific partner organization you selected at opt-in.
Message frequency varies by partner but is typically up to once per week.
Message and data rates may apply.
You may opt out at any time by replying STOP.
You may request assistance by replying HELP.
Opting in to receive messages from one partner does not enroll you to receive messages from any other Gather Scout partner.
4. User Responsibilities
You agree to:
Provide accurate and current contact information
Use the Services only for lawful purposes
Not misuse or interfere with the operation of the Services
5. Partner Content
Messages delivered through Gather Scout originate from partner organizations.
Gather Scout does not control, endorse, or guarantee the accuracy of partner content and is not responsible for partner events, programs, or communications.
6. Data Use and Privacy
Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Phone numbers are logically segmented by partner and are not shared or reused for messaging on behalf of other partners without a separate, explicit opt-in.
7. Intellectual Property
All Gather Scout software, branding, and platform content are owned by Gather Scout LLC and may not be copied, modified, or distributed without permission.
8. Service Availability
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Services at any time without notice.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gather Scout LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.
